The Premier Technology Solution: Heat Soak Test

The homogenization furnace (HST) is used to treat occasional nickel sulfide (NiS) inclusions in tempered glass.

Inside the furnace, precise temperature control ensures that all high-temperature α-NiS within the glass is fully converted into the low-temperature stable β-NiS, thereby preventing stress concentrations and tempered glass spontaneous breakage caused by α → β phase transitions triggered by temperature fluctuations during daily use.

Features

Improve Lifetime: Reduce Spontaneous Breakage Risk.
Balance Strength and Safety: Tempered glass is 3–5 times stronger than ordinary glass and generally very safe. However, in rare cases, it may spontaneously break years after installation, posing risks to people or property. To ensure both strength and safety, tempered glass is recommended to undergo Heat Soak Testing (HST) in design.
